SPN Cooking Fun!

SPN have been very busy over the past few weeks in their making either a mixed berry smoothie, wholesome vegetable soup or a tasty pizza. Check out the videos below!

Junior Infants/Senior Infants/First Class

Were very busy making a delicious mixed berry smoothie.

Second/Third/Fourth Class

Worked hard making a wholesome vegetable soup. They then enjoyed tasting the soup with some delicious brown bread!

Fifth/Sixth Class

The boys in Fifth and Sixth class made delicious home-made pizza's from scratch!

Sixth Class

Sixth class recently cut some parsley from our school garden. In English they focused on a parsley sauce for procedural writing. Check out this photo of one of the boys making the parsley sauce at home. Well done sixth class!

Christmas Novelty Cookery Workshop

As part of our Creative Schools initiative the whole school engaged with a Christmas cookery workshop. Students followed a live zoom call with Mary Harte from Kater4Kidz where they enjoyed creating lots of tasty Christmas treats. Students kindly donated some of their Christmas treats to adults and children in Direct Provision.

Creative Associate; Aideen McHugh

SPN were delighted to be awarded the Creative Schools Programme in 2020 following our successful application. This year we have the privilege of working with Aideen McHugh as our Creative Associate.Due to Covid we had to work with Aideen through Zoom, but it proved very engaging and the boys cant wait for more fun and creativity next year.
